On the bus to work you open the site on your phone and the balance already looks bigger than you remember. That extra money is not yours to withdraw yet, and it will not be until you meet the playthrough condition attached to it. Understanding that one condition before you start spinning decides whether the bonus grows your balance or quietly locks it away.

Activating the Bonus

Claiming happens inside the account, not on a separate voucher page, so the steps are short and every one of them matters.

  1. Set up a player account with your real name and address. The details are matched against your payment documents before any payout, so a nickname creates a problem later.

  2. Complete the verification fields the site asks for at sign-up. Doing it at the start saves a wait when a withdrawal request goes in.

  3. Open the cashier area and choose the deposit option you intend to use. The bonus is tied to the deposit, so the method you pick here is the one that carries the offer.

  4. Enter the deposit amount you want to play with. A larger deposit means a larger bonus, but also a larger sum you must play through before withdrawing.

  5. Look for the field or box reserved for a promotion code at the cashier stage. Some offers need it filled in before you confirm, and leaving it empty can void the bonus.

  6. Confirm the deposit and wait for the bonus to appear on the balance. The two amounts are usually shown separately, and that separation is what tells you which money is restricted.

  7. Keep the receipt of the transaction. If the bonus does not land, the cashier history is the record that proves you qualified for the offer.

    Bonus Terms Explained

At captaincookscasinos-ca.com/ the promotion follows the usual shape of a deposit match, and the table sets out what each recurring term asks of you.

    Term

What it means

What to check

    Playthrough requirement

How many times the bonus must be staked in bets before winnings can be withdrawn

Whether the bonus alone counts or the deposit is included

    Stake that counts

The share of each bet that goes toward clearing the condition

Whether the games you play count fully or only partly

    Restricted games

Titles that do not contribute to the playthrough at all

Which games sit outside the cleared list

    Maximum bet

The largest stake allowed while a bonus is active

That your usual spin size stays under that ceiling

    Expiry

The point at which unused bonus money disappears

How many days the offer lasts from the moment it credits

The term players misread most is the playthrough requirement, because they treat it as a target rather than a multiple. It is not the number of spins you make; it is the amount of turnover the balance has to generate. The multiple applies to the bonus alone or to the bonus and deposit together, and the difference is large. A bonus counted alone clears sooner than the same offer with the deposit included. Many also assume every game counts fully, when some contribute only a fraction and others not at all. Captain Cooks Casino applies the same rule to every player, so the only variable you control is how you get there.

    A Worked Example

The figures below are an illustration only, not the terms of the Captain Cooks Casino Canada offer. They show how the arithmetic of playthrough works when one number is placed on top of another. The numbers are round so the method is easy to follow on your own deposit. Nothing here reflects an actual rate offered on the site.

Take a deposit of 25 units and a bonus of 25 units on top, giving 50 units to play with. Assume a playthrough multiple of 35 applied to the bonus only. Multiply the bonus by that multiple and the result is the total turnover required. In this example the target comes to 875 units staked.

Now take the same deposit of 25 units and the same bonus of 25, but apply the multiple to the combined figure. The sum to multiply is now 50 rather than 25. The result in this second example is double the first, which is why the base the multiple applies to changes everything.

Slot games usually count the full stake, while table games may count a share or none, as noted in the worked example only for illustration. If a game counts half, each unit staked moves you forward by less than one unit. The practical result is that clearing the target takes far longer than the headline multiple suggests. Players who spread their bets across restricted titles see no progress at all.

    Withdrawing After a Bonus

The bonus balance only becomes withdrawable money once the playthrough condition is satisfied in full. Partial progress counts for nothing on a withdrawal request; the whole target has to be met. Funds still locked when the offer expires are removed from the account. Winnings made from money you never cleared cannot be cashed out.

A common mistake is to keep a leftover bonus and expect the cash portion to leave freely. The site treats the balance as a single pot while the condition is live. Stopping partway is allowed, but the usual outcome is losing the restricted amount. Planning the session around clearing the target avoids that surprise.

When a request does go in, the account details are matched against identity documents. A name or address that differs from the payment record holds the payout until it is resolved. The withdrawal then returns to the method used for the deposit. Knowing that before you deposit keeps the path to a payout smooth.

Bets placed and cancelled do not reset the target, but winnings from an unqualified balance are not paid. Player accounts are subject to the site’s standard checks at this stage. Clearing the playthrough is the single step that removes the restriction. Nothing else converts a bonus balance into withdrawable money.

    Free Spins Rules

Free spins are often bundled with a deposit offer, and their winnings land in the bonus balance rather than as cash. The spins carry their own validity window, separate from the deposit bonus. Any prize from a spin is tied to the playthrough condition like the rest of the bonus. Spins that go unused before the window closes simply disappear.

Each set of spins is usually limited to named slot titles. The rest of the library will not accept the spin credit. A spin on a title outside the list is taken from your cash balance instead. Players who assume every slot works are the ones caught out by this.

Spin winnings rarely come with a cap of their own beyond the overall bonus restriction. They join the same pool and face the same playthrough multiple. There is no way to move them into cash without clearing that target. The size of the prize does not change the rule.

Using the Captain Cooks Casino login gives a single account where spins and bonus money sit together, so the balance view shows progress on both. Mobile play through the phone browser follows exactly the same conditions. There is no separate set of spin rules for a smaller screen. The game list, the window and the playthrough all match the desktop account.

    Common Mistakes

Most dropped bonuses come from a handful of avoidable habits, and each has a simple fix.

    • Depositing before entering the code: the bonus never attaches and the deposit plays as plain cash. Enter the code at the cashier stage and confirm it appears before paying.

    • Choosing a deposit method that does not carry the offer: the balance arrives without the bonus. Pick the method tied to the promotion from the start.

    • Raising the stake above the allowed maximum: the bonus can be voided even after the playthrough is met. Keep spin size under the ceiling for the whole session.

    • Playing restricted games while the condition is live: the turnover does not count and the clock keeps running. Stick to contributing titles until the target is cleared.

    • Requesting a withdrawal before the playthrough is complete: the restricted money is removed with the request. Clear the target first, then ask for the payout.

    • Spreading spins across several offers at once: each condition is measured separately. Review the account balance view and work through one condition before starting another.

    • Leaving a bonus to expire in the background: the locked amount vanishes with no warning at the cashier. Track the days from the moment the bonus credits and plan sessions around that window.
